SIP Trunk Italy — +39 Termination & DID Numbers
Italy is one of the few countries where the leading 0 of a landline stays in the international format, so a Rome number is +39 06 and not +39 6. Since 2022 the Registro delle Opposizioni also covers mobiles, so outbound lists must be screened against it.
Overview
Routing calls to Italy
Calling windows matter: Italy runs on Rome time, and we route +39 calls for Rome, Milan and Naples, Turin, Bologna and Florence across several carriers so a peak-hour congestion event on one network does not take your campaign down.
AGCOM sets the Italy numbering plan, and our prefix tables follow it closely. Supported number types: geographic, national, mobile and toll-free. There is no trunk prefix to strip: send 39 followed by the national number as written.
Outbound termination to Italy starts as soon as your balance is topped up. Local DIDs are different: AGCOM rules usually require address and identity documents, which our team collects and checks before activation.
