SIP Trunk Colombia — +57 Termination & DID Numbers
Colombia changed its fixed-line numbering in September 2021: landlines are now 10 digits starting 60 plus a regional digit, such as 601 for Bogotá and 604 for Medellín. Older dial plans that still use 7-digit local numbers need updating before you send traffic.
Overview
Routing calls to Colombia
Traffic to Colombia leaves our SBCs on more than one upstream carrier per prefix. If a leg toward Bogotá or Medellín starts returning 503s or long post-dial delay, the next attempt goes to another carrier automatically. Calls to Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena and Bucaramanga follow the same failover logic.
CRC sets the Colombia numbering plan, and our prefix tables follow it closely. Supported number types: geographic, mobile and toll-free. There is no trunk prefix to strip: send 57 followed by the national number as written.
Some Colombia number ranges can be activated with basic company details, while others need proof of address. Tell us the city and number type, and we will confirm what is needed before you order.

Colombia SIP trunk questions
What changed in Colombian numbering?
Fixed numbers became 10 digits starting 60 (601 Bogotá, 602 Cali, 604 Medellín, 605 Caribbean coast). Mobiles remain 10 digits starting 3.
How do I send Colombian numbers?
Send 57 followed by the 10-digit number, for example 576012345678.
Who regulates numbering?
The CRC (Comisión de Regulación de Comunicaciones) manages the numbering plan.
Is Colombia good for nearshore call centres?
Yes. Time zone alignment with US Eastern/Central time and a large bilingual workforce make it a common choice.
